Singer, musician and producer Sylvia Robinson circa 1957. Ms.  Robinson had a #11 hit, “Love is Strange” in 1957 and another hit, “Pillow Talk,” in 1973 before founding Sugar Hill Records with her husband Joe. She also discovered The Sugar Hill Gang and signed Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five to Sugar Hill Records.  Ms. Robinson died on September 29, 2011 in New Jersey at the age of 75.
